When ordering folding gates, people rarely think about potential shipping problems. Cardboard cartons alone are not adequate for heavy gate shipments. Gates can easily be damaged inside the package even when the exterior of the carton does not appear to be damaged. Since even slight damage may be enough to prevent the gate from operating, we go to the extra mile to help insure our Max-Guard gates are not damaged in transit by building custom shipping crates for each gate.
Avoid the hassle of trying to straighten a bent gate or the headache of arguing with the freight company over a damage claim. Don’t risk delaying your project. Choose A/C Folding Gates and be assured we will ship them right.
Packaging steps:
1. Gates are wrapped in paper, cardboard and plastic wrap to cushion the gate and help prevent scratches.
2. A custom fit frame is built around the gate with 2” x 4”s.
3. The frame is reinforced with cross pieces top and bottom adding rigidity and providing forklift access for easy loading and unloading.
4. The gate sections can now stand up to handling with a forklift.
